L-R: Revolt, Gonzo, Slowburn, Savage, Fringe, Chaos, Jilted, Urban, Freak, Thrash
At first, I was on the fence. I’m not much of an eyeshadow wearer, but for the past month I’ve been wearing nothing but shades from The Naked 3. The Electric Palette is a far cry from the comfort zone of nudes – but who doesn’t love a bit of colour? It was time for some experimentation anyway!
Inspired by ‘Chaos’ (a matte blue from The Vice Palette), Urban Decay have launched the Electric Pressed Pigment Palette – there’s no better name! It’s packed with ten of the brightest, boldest colours you ever did see; apart from ‘Chaos’ and ‘Revolt’, the shades are brand new. It contains both matte, and highly dimensional shimmers, all with incredible colour payout.
Okay, so if this palette terrifies you (which, it does me a little!), don’t panic! Each shade is a lot more wearable than it appears, and after seeing so many creations of looks using this palette on Instagram, I’m excited to explore and try new things! I for one have been loving seeing these shades in the lower lash line. One thing I have been doing however, is using them for different purposes. For example, ‘Savage’ and ‘Slowburn’ make for a perfect blush, ‘Revolt’ makes a perfect highlight, and so on. It really is a palette for the creative.
Do you think this palette is wearable? What looks would you create?
