I’m a nudist when it comes to my lips – always have been. It’s a trait I want to slowly get rid of, and begin embracing actual colour (in A/W I can, for some reason!) – as the lady at the Chanel counter said ‘you’re wasting your features!’ – so, I’m taking baby steps with pink shades and rather than going for a nude, or a nudey-pink, I’ve gone for a rosey pink – hurrah!
The Topshop Lipsticks have always been a favourite of mine and, at £8 a pop, they should be your fave too! The formula is creamy and pigmented, with a wide range of colours to choose from. The staying power is amazing, as is the moisturizing feel to the lips. My former fave; ‘Saint‘, is a definite pale pinky-nude, whereas ‘Petal‘ is lovely natural shade of pink – perfect for trying to embrace colour! Petal is a relatively new shade, making its in-store debut early February. It’s described as a pale pink, which it would be on certain skin tones – however for us pale girlies it’s quite a colour – that being said, it’s a pink that would look lovely on all skin tones.
Have you tried any of Topshop’s lipsticks? Which is your favourite?
