When I first heard that H&M were coming out with a beauty line, I was more than excited. I searched everywhere to find a release date and in which stores it would be stocked in (Oxford Circus or online) and just wanted to get my hands on the beautifully packaged products. The packaging was something I was dying to see; being a huge H&M Home fan I knew the design would be incredible – not to mention dressing table friendly – and, lets face it; Instagram friendly!
I went and purchased a whole lot of the beauty line; hair, bath & body, nails and of course makeup, so I thought I’d do a haul, as well as put the products to the test and share with you my first impressions! If you do get a change to go down to the Oxford Circus store I highly recommend having a look – it really is beautifully displayed (cactus and copper galore), with a makeup artist on hand.
All the products I purchased will be listed and linked at the bottom of this post – please note that some of the names and shades of products are different from in-store and online!
I regret not purchasing any Eyeshadow Crayons or Liquid Lipsticks – next time aye!
Watch the above video for a rundown on my first impressions of the products, as well as testing them on screen – and just seeing everything I picked up in detail! I will say here however that the product I was most excited about and now most disappointed about is the Eyeshadow Palette – I had such high hopes. The application wasn’t bad and the colours are lovely, it has nice packaging and is very compact – BUT when compared with the single eyeshadows the pigmentation is… not so good. I highly highly recommend the single eyeshadows as opposed to the palette – its quality over quantity – if you purchased 9 single eyeshadows that would equate to around £45.00 at £5.99 each; whereas the palette has 9 shades for £9,99… but it’s up to you!
Have you tried anything from H&M’s new beauty line yet?! What do you love? OR what are you most excited to try?! What are your first thoughts? Let me know in the comments!
Just a heads up, this post (and video) is NOT sponsored in any why by H&M, and I purchased everything with my own money.
