A few weeks ago now I was lucky enough to be invited to my favourite city, Paris, with Claire’s Accessories and four of my fave blogger pals! It was to celebrate their Galentines campaign and all things BFF – perfect! We had 48 hours and a rather packed itinerary – but it was absolutely amazing and I can’t quite believe how much we managed to do – with the planning of the amazing Claire’s team and a few Ubers here and there! Even though I go to Paris quite a lot, I don’t often do all the touristy cliches; but this time it was a cliche-lovers dream!
We started bright and early at Kings Cross and had a cheeky brekkie in the business lounge; hopped on the Eurostar and a few hours (of chatting and eating and makeup applying) we were there! We headed straight to our beautiful hotel which couldn’t have been in a more central location – Hotel Bauchaumont – fixed ourselves up and headed down to the restaurant for an absolutely delish lunch. After our meal, we wrapped up warm and headed out to the streets of Paris. Although it was freezing AF (I think it was minus 6 at one point?!) we were beyond lucky to have blue skies and a shining sun!
We visited all the Parisian landmarks; Notre Dam, The Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, and of course Claire’s two storey flagship store on Rue De Rivoli! We were all given baskets and allowed free reign of the store and were treated to our fave pieces! I picked up so many gorgeous accessories, rings, earrings, bracelets and rekindled my love for headbands! I wore a beautiful baroque style headband for the duration of the trip – so in love! It was so amazing to frolic around Paris with my friends – we had the most fun! We even arrived at the Eiffel Tower during golden hour, managing to catch the incredible sunset.
After arriving back at the hotel and sprucing ourselves up a bit, we ventured out for the evening to La Derriere and enjoyed an absolutely glorious dinner! We had our own buffet on the table basically – amazing. It was such yummy food and such a quirky venue too!
Fast forward a much needed nights sleep; Josie and I decided to wake up at sunrise, have a quick breakfast and wander the Parisian streets as the day slowly began. I’m so bloomin’ pleased I actually got out of bed and saw Paris in the early hours – we of course went to Laduree and picked up some macarons – oh how blogger of us! We took some beautiful pictures and enjoyed the fresh (-7) air!
Once we got back, it was time to head to the Ken Club Spa for the day – WOO! A much needed day of relaxation and chill. It was absolutely stunning there, we got given our robes (I do love a robe) and could use the facilities as we wished. Jodes and I were first up for our treatments; she had a full body massage and I opted for a facial and my goodness was it amazing. I felt so relaxed and ready to swim and just lounge about – followed by yet more amazing food in their cafe area. It was the most perfect way to end our Parisian adventure – I’ll deffo be visiting the Spa next time I’m there!
Basically; I had such an amazing time in Paris with my blogger pals and the lovely Claire’s team. I feel so lucky and grateful that I got to be part of #DestinationClaires and I can’t wait for more adventures! Thank you so much for a wonderful 48 hours in Paris!
